Lets turn back the clock to March 1995. I was on AOL and one night I was in a chat room. This one name caught my eye. I don''t know why but it did. I sent her a message or something. It turned out she lived over the river a few miles away from me. I mean really close. We starting chatting back and forth and I happen to mentioned I had a Enduro On and Off Street Motorcyle. And she said she would love to go for a ride someday. It was on a Sunday night. I asked her if she wanted to go for a ride Friday night and grab a bite to eat and see a movie. She said yes. So after the chatting stopped for the night, the very next day, I was like goiing crazy. I kept asking myself what if she is......all these questions. Blind date. I must be nuts.
So Friday comes and I get dressed and I told I would pick her up at 8:00pm. But it was raining so I took my car. I stopped at a local store and bought her a long stem red rose. I pulled up in front of her house and took a deep breath and headed to the door. I was greeted by a man and told him I was here to pick () up. A few seconds later she came to the door and I was relieved to finally meet her. She was beautiful. I handed her the red rose and she was so thrilled.
We headed to the local hangout (bar). We grab something to eat and chatted awhile. We then headed to the movies and later came back and hanged out for awhile. I then took her home and I told her that I had a great time. She did too. I then asked her if she wanted to go out next Friday again. "Yes" was the answer. She worked part-time and was going to college on certain nights.
I went home to bed and the very next day I woke up to an email mail from her. It stated that she had a great time and could not wait until next Friday to see me. She wanted me to called her in few hours, she had to go somewhere. So I did and decided to head to the park on my motorcycle and walk and talk. To keep things going ,we saw see other the next day (Sunday). Sunday night we walked and talked once again. She told me she had needs out of the blue. I was like OH MY GOD! hahaha. We left it like that for the night. Monday night she had college classes and I had pool. I was in APA Pool League. Which I represented the local hangout. As I was playing, my phone rang and it was her. I told her that I was in the middle of a match and I couldnt wait to see her again.
Tuesday night came, 5 nights after we met, we went for a ride and I parked in a wooded area. You must know what happened next. Yep. I'm leaving it at that. We continued doing this night after night in different locations. Over the bridge, down the river, by her house. We couldn't go to my parents house or hers. It was like an addiction once we started. Hours at a time. Afterwards falling sleep in each others arms. Her father knew she was coming home 4 in the morning. My parents knew I was staying out late but later on weekends. But they didnt know about her. I didn't want to tell them and later it wouldnt last between us. Well after 3 or 4 weeks went past, it was her birthday. I didn't know what to do. I just met her and didnt know what kind of guft to give her. I had feelings for her but didnt want to scare her off. Then something hit me. I became insane and went out and bought her a diamond heart pendant. What the hell was I thinking? I took her to dinner for her birthday and gave it to her. I told her that I had feelings for her and wanted her to wear my heart next to hers. Then we rented a room up the road and we made love.,,,,,,
Skipping forward....a bit.....(About this time, my parents met her and I told them thats why I was going out all the time and not only on weekends) We decided to go to New York City for the weekend. We did and we had a great time. I took and extra day off from work because we were having so much fun. Got back into town and her dad became mad. I guess he thought she was messing her life up. She called me crying and that she couldnt see me no more. I talked her into meeting me in front of her house. (She was not a child anymore she was like 22 or 23).
We went for a ride and walked in the park. I told her that I wasn't going to lose her. So I suggested we get an apartment together. Oh my god...This voice kept saying. Are you nuts? Hahahaha. It was great coming her to her every night. But then I realized after a few months of dating , our dating was over. We went out but not as much. Anyways went back to our local hangout to see friends and owner. Well, after a few years, we started having finance problems. She got pregnant. You know all the problems. Our credit was in bad shape. They told us that we would never get a house. We were scared and disgusted. She then had a baby boy in August 1999 Well the apartment was too small for us. Then one day we I came in she told me that we had a chance to get a home and a woman wanted to speak with me. I started to see the light. We looked for a home nearby close to our families.
I found one in a great location. After 2 months, we got the house. That was back in April 2000.
Christmas of 2001, I asked her to marry to me. June 1st ,2002 we got married at the local J.O.P. We both wanted that and had a party in my parent's yard with family and friends. We wanted to wait until we were sure it worked out between us, I guess 7 years might have too long of a wait.
Well, I should tell you how the story ends or should I...... We are still married. She's 37 and I'm going to be 40 on June 28th. Our son is 9 and will be 10 in August. I've been working at the same sporting goods store (dist. of fishing) for 17 1/2 years. She has a degree from college. Worked many jobs over the years. She got a really good job now. She does payroll for a few people on the side and has her own tax preparation business from our home. I design to yearly flyers for her. She has over 60 + clients each year.
But we've been together for over 14 years total. Of course, we fight just like every married couple does. But our love life is still there. Don't believe the flame of the candle disappears after years of marriage. You got to make it work. The money situation is fine now. Looking back into 1995, who knew that a chat into a chat room would lead to what I have today. We went thru alot of things over the years. Many bad ones but also many good ones.
Sorry to have written this post so long. Man, I told that story so many times, I should copy this post and paste it into other posts when asked. Hahahhaha.
But anyways, the meaning of this story is to tell you all not to give up on that special person in your life and not to let anyone get into your way of happiness. I was scared at times that I would lose her. Now I can't image my life without her.
Take care,
